Michael has over 20 years of experience overseeing large retail and mixed-used developments across the New York metropolitan area. Starting at the New York City Economic Development Corporation, Mike oversaw major projects including QueensWest and the New York Times Building. While at Vornado Realty Trust and Equity One Inc., Mike developed more than 2 million square feet of retail and mixed-use projects. These included Rego Center, a 600,000 sq. ft. retail project in Rego Park, Queens; Gallery at Westbury Plaza, a 350,000 sq. ft. retail development in Garden City, Long Island; and Broadway Plaza, a 150,000 sq. ft. development in Riverdale, Bronx. As the project executive, Mike managed entitlements, design, budgeting, and construction. He also negotiated and executed leases with anchor tenants including Home Depot, Century 21, Trader Joe’s, Macy’s, TJX Companies, and Starbucks among many others. His projects have won awards from the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and provide tenants with some of the highest volume stores in their respective chains.
